Lessons
At Carley Rae Horsemanship LLC, our lesson program is designed to build confident, well-rounded riders who understand not just how to ride—but how to truly communicate with their horse. Lessons are taught by experienced, adult instructors who emphasize safety, effective horsemanship, and the importance of developing a strong foundation. Each session focuses on balance, feel, and partnership—creating riders who are capable, thoughtful, and connected.
Our level- based curriculum provides a clear and encouraging path for beginner students. Riders progress through carefully structured stages that focus on horsemanship from the ground up—starting with safety, handling, grooming, learning to tack, mounting, and developing independent control in the saddle. As confidence and skill grows, each rider advances to new challenges at their own pace, gaining a solid understanding of both the technical and emotional sides of riding. This step by step approach ensures every student experiences success, builds trust, and most importantly, enjoys the journey.
Each lesson is taught in a one on one setting, allowing for individualized instruction tailored to the needs and goals of every rider. This personalized approach creates a calm, supportive environment where students can learn at their own pace and form a genuine connection with their horse. Our focus is on quality time in the saddle, clear communication, and the confidence that comes from personal growth and partnership.
